Our mission is to raise $50,000 for land conservation with 1,000 $10 donations to help protect the homes of herons, hawks, cranes, and rabbits who live on our coastal prairies and depend on wetlands for food. You can help us tremendously because your donations will go directly to buying land and growing the Coastal Heritage Preserve from 690 acres to 1,400 acres.

About Gulf Island Peeps

Who are the the Gulf Island Peeps?  We are a team of friends and family and former board members (of Artist Boat) from across the Gulf who love islands and have special relationships to places from Galveston to the Florida Keys over to Dauphin Island and down to Port Aransas.  Galveston is glorious with bird populations year round that rival every place on earth. Our saltwater wetlands create a fisheries built on yummy brown shrimp.   We humbled by this island and every island.  WE experience so much joy from the Gulf and the Gulf is the gift of a lifetime. We enjoy this living island mostly from the edges of beaches, prairies, dunes, and wetlands. Our Gulf  hosts resident sperm whales and more. Everything we do on land to protect islands helps our Gulf so much.  Every stitch of coastal ecosystems we protect permanently assures our Gulf thrives.  Its a tremendous feast visually and literally here on Galveston Island.  Save #wherethewildthingslive with the Gulf Island Peeps.
