About Meadowlarks

Greetings! I’m Keith Little, the leader of the Meadowlarks. I serve on the Artist Boat board, live in Houston and Galveston, and am a frequent visitor to Artist Boat’s Coastal Heritage Preserve. The Preserve currently consists of 898 acres of conserved land, and I am passionate about helping Artist Boat preserve hundreds of acres more of coastal prairie, ponds, sloughs, wetlands and beachfront. The Preserve is a year-round home to a wide range of animal and plant species, is an important wintering ground for a variety of migratory birds, and is a critical stopover for other migrating birds. The Coastal Heritage Preserve sits on the doorstep of one of the United States’ largest metropolitan areas and enables Artist Boat’s mission of providing eco-art education and adventures for schoolchildren and adults from across the area. Natural coastal habitat is disappearing across the region, the country and the world. Please help us protect this unique ecosystem.
